Quilting is therapy, a creative outlet, and a way to express yourself through fabric and thread. What better way to welcome new beginnings than with an adorable easter quilt you can cherish for years?

There are many different ways to celebrate Easter, but the important thing is we DO celebrate and can find common ground in doing so. Traditionally, Easter is a Christian holiday celebrating the resurrection of Christ, but it is also a time of new beginnings, new life, and transformation.

Easter quilting fabric is some of the cutest fabric you’ll find at your local quilt shop. With pastel colors, adorable animals, and beautiful florals, you’ll have no problem finding the perfect fabric for your easter quilt. 

Another option is to find easter quilt panels that you can then use to create a unique quilt. Quilt panels can be used as a centerpiece for a quilt top, or you can cut them up and use them for various types of quilt blocks, depending on the quilt pattern you choose.

Now let’s take a look at some beautiful quilt patterns that feature bunnies, flowers, eggs, and more! These are beginner-friendly quilt patterns, so don’t worry if you’re new to quilting. You can do it!

1. Bonita Bunny

Okay, how cute is this free bunny quilt block pattern? This free pattern from Threadbare Creations is the perfect beginner-quilt project you can use to make any number of projects we listed earlier. The pattern includes three sizes: 6”, 8”, and 10” squares. 

2. Hippity Hoppity

Here is the perfect example of a rabbit quilt for Easter. The pattern will show you how to make a 38 ½” x 50 ½” baby quilt, though if you want a larger quilt, all you need to do is create more bunny quilt blocks and add them to the rows. Kids will love this quilt, especially if you use bright, beautiful colors like this example quilt. 

3. Easter Bunny Mini Quilt

This is a free tutorial from We All Sew that takes you step-by-step to make this adorable mini quilt. Little bunny quilts are a great way to decorate your home without spending hours and hours on one project. The finished mini quilt measures 12 ½” x 14” and will look fantastic as a wall hanging or table centerpiece.

4. Country Bunnies

I love how this example quilt was made using “country fabrics” instead of the typical Spring pastels. This pattern is from the Etsy shop “thepatternbasket” and is a super fun beginner quilt pattern that features cute chubby bunnies and their cotton tails. The finished quilt will measure 61 ½” x 74 ½”, which is a great throw-size quilt. 

5. Easter Parade

This adorable quilt pattern features bunny heads and carrots that are perfect for Easter and Spring. It is fat-quarter friendly and has two size options written in the pattern. Your kids would LOVE to help pick out the fabrics and piece together the blocks. 

6. Patchwork Easter Egg Table runner

This sweet table runner is a great choice for those with scraps they want to use for their easter sewing project. The finished table runner measures 12 ½” x 53” and will look SO cute on your dining table for Easter dinner. This project should only take a few hours to assemble.

7. Easter Peeps Mug Rug

Oh my goodness, check out this adorable free mug rug tutorial from The Seasoned Homemaker! This mug rug features patchwork borders and cute little applique Peeps in the center. The free tutorial includes Peep templates to help you cut out the perfect Peep shapes.

9. Carrot Sticks Table runner

This is a free table runner pattern from All People Quilt. This adorable carrot-shaped table runner is perfect for Easter, but you could use it all through Spring, making it a good time investment. The finished runner will measure 13” x 32 ¼”, including the stem.

10. Yes, He Loves Me

This beautiful quilt features the cross and hearts representing Christ’s love. This would be a wonderful Easter quilt project you could enjoy all year round. The pattern includes four sizes to choose from and is beginner-friendly.

11. Waltz of the Flowers

“Waltz of the Flowers” is a gorgeous quilt perfect for Spring, don’t you think? The pattern shows step-by-step instructions to construct a 70” square quilt that you can create for Easter or welcome Spring if Easter isn’t your thing. I love how the flowers are dancing around the quilt’s center. Wouldn’t this quilt look AMAZING on a dark background?

12. Sweet Spring

Here is a “sweet” quilt pattern that features tulips, hearts, bunnies, butterflies, chicks, eggs, carrots, flowers, and a lovely pinwheel block. This quilt truly envelops all that Spring brings, and it would be a fantastic project to make for Easter. The finished quilt measures 60” x 75”.

13. Garden Hoppin’
